Mills can return to Western
If Mills serves another suspension, he could resume teaching theater classes

After a yearlong paid suspension and six meetings to assess the teaching eligibility of Perry Mills, a tenured Western theatre arts instructor, the controversial professor could return to Western.

First, however, he must serve a two-quarter unpaid suspension, according to the document containing the findings of the panel that reviewed the charges against Mills.

If Mills decides to continue teaching, he must also sign a statement agreeing to comply with Western’s code of faculty ethics.

You mean that he didn't sign a code of ethics when he first started? I guess it's ok to be a shithead until you are busted.

It hardly matters what the corrupt adminstration says or does as a result of the kangaroo court. The procedure was clearly illegal and will be rendered null and void the instant the Prexy makes a decision that finalizes the administrative process. The clock is running out on these crooks.

Did anybody notice that there is no charge regarding Reddell, but she's part of the findings? Red Queen's trial -- verdict first, trial later.

Ciara still doesn't understand what's going on here. Mills is going to make his arguments in court, not in some university-censored paper published by bootlickers, dweebs and tankers.

Is this pyramid inverted or what? Even knowing about the administration's diversion of Professor Mill's film budget and other class fees, I had to read between the lines for any hint of it.

In response to the query about signing a code of ethics when hired, that is covered when a person signs their contract (this is done yearly as well as when you are first hired), which is a legal and binding document stating that you have read and will comply with the Faculty Handbook...including but not limited to the code of ethical conduct sections. So the adult, sentient and logical outcome is that no one is allowed to be a shithead - everyone is supposed to be a decent human being from the get-go.
Getting "busted" means that you have actively violated your contract, which you sign yearly, which encompasses the code of ethics. Violating one's contract is grounds for termination. Tenured or not.
It is ridiculous to think of a "good professor" who actually has to be forced to sign a code of ethics which the rest of the world simply follows as part of being productive, non-destructive, members of society.
